I’m making several of these for a friend this summer to go along with her bath salts. I use Sugar and Cream cotton yarn to crochet these so that they dry better and I can throw them in the laundry with my towels and wash cloths after use.
Supplies:
- Yarn. Sugar & Cream Cotton. A cotton/acrylic blend is also acceptable, as it may dry faster.
- Crochet Hook, Size H/5.0MM
Pattern:
Chain 10, slip stitch in the first loop to create a circle.
Round 1: Do 1 Single crochet (then ch 5, sc back in circle) Repeat () 40 times. At the end of the first round, chain 30 to create the bath puff’s handle and sc back on the circle.
Round 2: In each ch 5 loop space, (sl st, 8 dc, sl st). Secure and tie off the yarn after your last stitch. Weave in the ends.
Helpful terms:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
If you already know how to crochet, this pattern is a pretty simple one. If you don’t know how to crochet, I suggest you check out The Crochet Geek over on You Tube. That is where I have learned most of my stitches and is my go-to place for remembering how to do old ones that I have forgotten!
